MADA’s mission is to help people in need with the basic necessities of life while preserving their dignity and helping them become self sufficient members of the community.
- We regard our recipients as patrons.
- All of MADA’s services and programs are provided to patrons free of charge.
- Dedication to breaking the cycle of poverty in our community.
- To help prevent a temporarily difficult time from becoming a permanent situation.
- Commitment to providing a family like atmosphere with an open door policy.
- Encouraging patrons to volunteer in the many services and programs that MADA provides in turn leading them to become a working part the MADA family and society.
“I just liked MADA right away. Everyone is friendly. It’s like a home away from home.”
“It’s nice that I can choose the food and clothing I need like a regular shopper.”
People need a friendly, warm smile. We see this even more in these times. That is why we created a warm family-like atmosphere at MADA. We are committed to giving people the help they need while preserving their dignity.
Setbacks should not have to result in hunger and poverty. At times people need a helping hand. That is why in 2010, MADA distributed 7.35 million pounds of food – an increase of 22.5 % from the year before. Over the last years, we have also increased our distribution of clothing and household furnishings to supply the soaring demand.
